A climb up the impressive Mount Gemi will bring you to a 12-foot iron cross erected at the summit by a German American in 1939. Atop the mountain are breathtaking views of the surrounding towns and villages and stretches of lush green tropical forest and deep valleys in all directions. On a clear day, tou can see as far as Kpando and beyond to the great Lake Volta.

Equally impressive is the seasonal waterfall, just a 45-minute stroll from the mountain.

However this journey is not for the faint of heart. The hike is challenging! You will be taken inside the tropical forest where you can feast your eyes on numerous species of birds, butterflies and exotic flowers.
